Cross Border Xpress (CBX) is a pedestrian bridge exclusively for passengers of the Tijuana International Airport that allows passengers to cross the border between Mexico and the United States. The bridge is 390 feet long and connects the Tijuana International Airport with a service terminal in San Diego.
Passengers must have a plane ticket and passport to use the CBX. Only travelers may use the bridge; the CBX is not an open border entry. There is a $30 fee to use the CBX, which can be purchased online or on-site. Concessions, including Starbucks, are available at the CBX.10-May-2019

Does the CBX parking get full?
Your reservation guarantees a space even if the lot is full on arrival. Valid for parking in Premium Lot or Lot 3. No in and out privileges.
Get your boarding pass in the app or print it at home. It will say "Cross Border Xpress" on it, which will grant you access. Get your boarding pass from the kiosk and then make your way to the Volaris counters to get it stamped to be granted access.
Can you check in your luggage at CBX?
Step 3: Check-in for your flight If you use Cross Border Xpress, you can check-in for your flight at the terminal on the US side of the border. In the CBX terminal in San Diego, you will find airline counters such as Aeromexico, Viva Aerobus, and Volaris.
We recommend you carry printed proof of your stay in Mexico. You must present a valid visa and proof of your return ticket. As of April 1, 2022, you will have to fill out an electronic precheck with personal and immigration information to enter Mexico.
