What happens if I miss my DPD collection?
The driver will do everything they can to get your attention when you're at home, but sometimes you'll still miss each other. Enter your reference number and postcode on this page to see where the driver left your 'sorry we missed you' card, and then select the redelivery or collect option you'd prefer.
The time your parcel will be collected will depend on which service you've booked and with which carrier, but most of the collected courier services we offer are collected Monday-Friday, 8 am to 6 pm, excluding bank holidays and public holidays.
How many attempts will DPD make?
If you are sending a parcel to a business address, the driver will attempt to deliver the parcel a maximum of three times.
We hold parcels for a maximum of 21 days before they are returned to sender. Parcels which have been delivered to a Pickup Point are held at the Pickup Point for six days before being returned to sender.
How many times will DPD attempt delivery UK?
How many attempts are made to deliver a parcel? The driver will make one delivery attempt. You're not there? The driver will try to deliver your parcel to your neighbour or at a Pickup parcelshop, so that you may receive your parcel as soon as possible but not later than 7 days.

DPD will attempt to deliver twice. If you miss both attempts and don't contact them to rearrange your delivery, your parcel will either go to nearest pick up location or be taken back to the depot where it will be held for 3 days before returned to our warehouse.

Can I collect from a DPD depot?
If I miss the delivery from DPD can I arrange to pick up from my local DPD depot? Yes. There is a facility to do this via the email or text you receive from DPD.
You don't need to book a Redelivery or collect your mail if you've received a yellow card, we'll automatically try and deliver it again the next working day. If we still can't deliver it, then we'll leave a red 'Something for you' card and you can collect it or have it redelivered in the usual way.
What happens to delivery if not home?
If no one is available to accept your shipment at the delivery address, your driver will leave a door tag.
Choose from one of our 2,500 local Pickup shops and we'll have your parcel ready for you by midday tomorrow. You'll need to be bring 2 pieces of ID, photo ID and ID with your address on it, such as a utility bill.
Where is my DPD pickup pass?
Your parcel number will be in the email/text that your received when the parcel was despatched. Visit www.dpd.co.uk and enter your parcel number and your home postcode. From here you can click to download your Pickup Pass.

Your dpd driver is required to take a photo of the parcel at the point of delivery as a proof of delivery. The parcel sender is expecting a signature as proof of delivery, instead of a signature, our driver takes a photo of the parcel in the doorway to prove it was handed over.
How does DPD Pickup work?
DPD Pickup allows you to have your parcel delivered to your local DPD Pickup shop (2,500 shops). You'll be notified by email & SMS when your parcel is ready to collect, and you'll have up to 7 days to collect at a time to suit you. Select the DPD Pickup option in the checkout.
