How long before package is considered lost DHL?
The expected or actual delivery date counts as the first day. The claim will be checked to ensure all documents have been provided. If there are documents missing, these will be requested via email and will need to be provided within 5 working days of the email being sent.
DHL will make 2 delivery attempts before placing the shipment on hold. They will then try and contact you to let you know that the delivery was attempted and determine if the package should go back for a 3rd attempt or if the receiver would like to pick it up from the depot.
